I lead the NMS team. We're extending the observability that Kentik's customers rely on deep into their networks to spot problems before they blow up.

I led the Pricing team. We built platform capabilities and shipped features across Square's mobile Point of Sale apps, APIs, and the Dashboard web app.

• Our team owned the Pricing Engine, a cross-platform module responsible for adding automatic discounts, service charges, and pricing millions of carts daily.
• Managed migration of shared library to Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Worked with dozens of stakeholder teams and cross-functional partners to prioritize and implement platform Pricing features.
• Defined Quality Strategy for long-term Orders Migration project. Managed team of QA contractors testing across platforms.

I led the Platform Experience team as we built the UI platform powering a new SaaS observability suite.

• Led a global, distributed, and mostly remote team of 40+ engineers and managers.
• Our team built core features that crossed vertical boundaries including: dashboard system, data visualization, event viewer, metrics explorer, and search.
• Worked with Product and Design to build UI framework, component library, and UX patterns.
• Led hiring efforts as we aggressively scaled out the team.

I led the Papertrail team as we dramatically scaled our platform and integrated into a larger organization and suite of products.

• Led ground-up rewrite/rollout of new Papertrail event UI. We developed a React/GraphQL/NodeJS application stack that served as the foundation for new initiatives.
• Managed data platform migration from homespun MySQL implementation to Clickhouse.
• Managed Papertrail and Loggly implementations of SolarWinds Cloud SSO user system.
• Worked with the team to implement and iterate on SDLC and lightweight scrum process.
• Implemented SOX controls and developed suite of automated tools to audit change management.

I grew from engineer to executive leader as we scaled the engineering org at a maturing B2B SaaS startup.

• Coordinated infrastructure, reliability, and performance efforts across the engineering team.
• Developed SDLC with team, led engineering aspects of SOC 2 and GDPR compliance.
• Built onboarding framework for engineers and eventually led engineering hiring efforts.
• Drove cultural change by establishing personal development as a core function of our team.
• Procured original NBA Jam arcade cabinet for office, defeated all 32 teams, achieved #1 rank.

I built web apps and scalable data systems as 50% of a 2 person dev team at our tiny startup. Key projects:

• Distributed Twitter listener network to provide real-time commentary on sporting events
• Backend for a daily fantasy sports game featuring real-time stats
• RSS crawler indexing 1MM+ blogs daily, identifying notable blog posts based on comments/links

• Built rapid prototypes, web applications, backend tools and interactive widget infrastructure.
• Built an automated Watir/Ruby test suite that allowed a small team to test enormous products.
